Alfaz, Spain, 15 June 2013: Between the mountains and the sea at the Costa Blanca, Alfaz is home to about one hundred nations with the English No. 2 and the Norwegians No. 3 after the Spanish. Today the mayor Vicente Arques revealed a monument by the famous Basque sculptor Agustin Ibarrola dedicated to the memory of the victims of the atrocious terrorism in Oslo and Utoya 22 june 2011, and peace, citing Gandhi, There is no road to peace, Peace is the road.

The monument is located in a park the mayor named in honor of Johan Galtung, a long time resident in Alfaz, known as the “father of peace studies” for his peace work around the world, recently in Nepal, East Asia, Qatar, Bangladesh. Syria, Turkey, USA. Galtung–like Ibarrola born in 1930– deeply moved by the honor, thanked Alfaz for being a model of integration for peace, condemned terrorism of all kinds, and promised to work more than ever for peaceful resolution of conflicts.
