The experience of being able to recognise your human rights and not live in fear for your safety. This doesn’t mean freedom from conflict, but the experince of safety, dignity and security.

How did you find this community?

Do you have any professional experience in the field of peace-research? peace-studies? peace-practice?

I work for an NGO supporting partners working with communities affected by conflict and displacement. Whilst not a ‘peace practicioner’ we work with a focus on conflict reduction and stabilisation of peace

Are you at all familiar with concepts of Nonviolence and Conflict Transformation?

Somewhat, understanding ‘nonviolence’ to mean peaceful means of addressing issues/life, and ‘conflict transformation’ to mean processes, attitudes, activities etc which address injustice and lead to peace

What are your primary conceptual interests and concerns

Protection, do no harm, psychosocial health
