I would define peace as freedom from violence, war and civil unrest.

How did you find this community?

I am studying a Masters of Peace and Conflict Studies through University of Sydney in which I selected Peaceful Conflict Transofrmation as an elective.

Do you have any professional experience in the field of peace-research? peace-studies? peace-practice?

Unfortunately, I do not yet have professional experience in the field of peace-research, peace studies, or peace practice.

Are you at all familiar with concepts of Nonviolence and Conflict Transformation?

I have a fundamental knowledge of these concepts.

What are your primary conceptual interests and concerns

I am interested in relationship between civil unrest, food and water security and forced migration.

What is your main regional focus?

Most recently my focus has been on South East Asia, however I am interested in exploring East Africa.

I hold a Bachelors in Politics, where my main focus of study was on International relations and Australian Public Policy. I have successfully woven social justice themes into all of my studies and have a particular interest in the relationship between food and water insecurity, civil unrest and forced migration.
