CV | I am a 24 year old award-winning writer, community activist, editor and founder of the Arab-Australian platform Sajjeling, and project officer at the Lebanese Muslim Association, where I head projects such as the Sydney Muslim Conference and the Think Again Initiatives. I was the president of Muslim Youth radio show the Y Factor, a member of youth activist initiative Silence is Betrayal, and a member of various projects over the years. I was an active participant of the Positive Intellect program in 2013, and has been a student under Sidi Aftab Malik ever since, prompting him to study various texts under local and international speakers, most prominently with Shaykh Muhammad Al-Fatih. I have a keen interest in the relationship between traditional Islam and modernity, power, history, culture and philosophy, and I’m always seeking to learn more in those areas. |
