Welcome to our community: How do you define PEACE? | Peace is most easily defined as the “absence of war” and we usually imagine it as a “non fighting” situation. We all probably wish to eradicate conflicts and war. However, peace should not be JUST about that: i believe peace is something that need to be build and that takes time; peace is more about being able to respect the “other”, in order to be able to communicate and find solutions to “everexisting” problems and conflicts without necessarly resorting to war. So the word peace is only the emerging tip of a very wide concept. |
